9/02/2010 - New Models And Features For Fiat In 2010
Fiat has an exciting range of new commercial models for the Australian market in 2010. The multi award winning Fiat Ducato will be available in medium, long and extra long wheelbases with cubic capacities ranging from 10 to 15 cubic metres and feature a payload of up to two tonnes.
All 2010 Fiat Ducatos sold in Australia will feature a range of heavy duty enhancements including uprated suspension, 16 inch wheels and improved external body protection.
The Heavy Duty Fiat Ducato range will also come with an extensive range of new standard features in 2010. Cruise control, Bluetooth and USB connectivity complement an already impressive list of standard features including driver and passenger airbags, ASR, ABS and EBD, air conditioning, power steering, electric windows, electric mirrors, steering wheel mounted controls, remote central locking, a laptops size lockable glove compartment and 270 degree barn doors.
The significant enhancements across the Ducato range are an example of Fiat reinforcing success after a year of highlights and achievements both locally and overseas in 2009.
Locally, 2009 saw the highest annual sales volume for Fiat Commercial vehicles since the brand’s inception in Australia. The Scudo improved 300% on 2008 sales while Ducato sales improved 15%. Both results were achieved in market sectors that contracted overall in 2009.
Internationally, the Ducato was awarded “Best Basis for a Motorhome” for the third year running in Europe and New Zealand, and the model pushed past the two million unit mark overall.
The heavy duty, heavily enhanced 2010 Fiat Ducato is backed in Australia by a nationwide dealer network, a three year 200,000km warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance.
